Well hello there folks. It has been quite sometime since a post has come to this site. I wish I had a good reason, but I don’t. Sometimes the responsibilities of “Adulting” make it hard to do things you want to do. Let’s go with that one…
In my neck of the world, things started to shutdown around March 13th. Schools were sent home for 2 weeks and we began social distancing and businesses began closing. It’s May 4th and not much has changed. My wife and I work from home, juggling the learning for the kids and our students, and try and conquer projects.
One thing my son has been doing is playing games…more than I have. He has become a huge fan of the Plants vs. Zombie series (GW2 and Battle for Neighborville) and Overwatch. Truth is, he is getting better every time and can hold his own. He asked me the other day if we could stream our gaming sessions, so I began looking into it and think we may give it a try. I don’t expect anyone other than family to check it out (because who says no to their 8-year old grandson/nephew/cousin when he asks them to watch…especially during quarantine) but I think we will give it shot on Twitch. More to come on that!
While my son plays games, I have been reading and tinkering with my new iPad. I started a re-read of the Wheel of Time and I am hitting the part of the series that gets tough to read…Book 8. This one isn’t too bad, but I am not sure I am excited about the next few. The last 3- yes. Just have to get there.
The hope, as always, is to update here once a week. I should have the time…
