Why am I such a fan? Let’s find out…
When I was a kid, my family computer was an Apple IIC. I loved that machine. I played way too many hours of Lemonade Stand and typed many a project on that keyboard. Fast forward a few years and I got my first iPod now dubbed an iPod classic. More than any other device, that iPod shaped my a large part of my life. I was a music teacher and just found a device that could hold 5000 of my favorite songs (not 5000 copies of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, but it could hold a lot of music). From there, I got an iPod touch (1st generation), an iPod mini (green) and then a Droid phone.
Wait, what? A Droid phone? What kind of Fanboy are you?
I was the kind of fanboy who liked his Verizon service (I still think they are the least terrible of the cell phone companies…but I am sure I can be convinced otherwise) and the iPhone didn’t come to Verizon until the iPhone 4 in February of 2011. Since then, I have had the iPhone 5 and I am currently using the iPhone 6. Love it. No Apple Watch, as I don’t know how I would use it and I have realized that a Apple product Version 2 is always better than Version 1. I will wait.
Now Apple has an event coming up on September 9, 2015 and we will find out what else they have in store. In the next post, I will discuss what the rumors are and what I think will happen.

*in my defense, I teach a grad course about using the iPad in the classroom so having a new one is sometimes necessary
